This year, at the CNAM ENJMIN, the student union (BDE) organized a competition to create an illustration that would be used to paint a mural on one of the walls of an ENJMIN classroom.

First, I worked on a moodboard to develop an artistic direction and color palette that I liked.
I drew a lot of inspiration from existing frescoes, but also from illustration with lots of elements or objects : These are illustrations where artists focus on a given theme to bring out lots of elements around that same theme.
I used a pre-made color palette and made sure that all the elements used the same palette, even if it wasn't always realistic. This made the result more original.

Here is the final illustration.
There are several elements specific to the school, our class, Angoulême, and also the year 2025 : the ENJMIN building, a desktop computer, a console controller, a piano, one of our classmates' chinchillas, a gecko (our class mascot), a Nintendo Switch, coffee and tea, a mug with the ENJMIN logo, Steve the fish, a graduation cap, etc.
Here is a timelapse of my process.

Thanks to Clélia Ménard, Gensana Manceau, Mäx Beauvois, Rémi Bernard, Baptiste Denis, Justine Desmedt, Nathanaël Defeuillet, Jules Quirin for turning my illustration into a life-size painting.
